Celebration of the first transnational meeting of the project Educere

On 16 May the first meeting of the EDUCERE project was held at the MERIDIANOS headquarters and was attended by representatives of the different participating entities: University of Malaga, the Ministry of Health and Social Policies of the Regional Government of Extremadura, ECTE (Greece) and ADSEA (France).

The EDUCERE project, led by MERIDIANOS, is developed within the framework of the ERASMUS+ programme, and aims to design a Competence Accreditation Model for juvenile justice professionals in Europe.

Our international experience in the field of juvenile justice, as well as different studies in this area, coincide in identifying the competences of professionals in direct contact with young offenders, as one of the factors that most influence the quality of the intervention processes.

During the meeting, each of the partners participating in the project made a presentation of their entities based mainly on the trajectory of each one of them in the different European projects in which they have participated.

The original idea of the project and the meaning of each of the intellectual products that were originally proposed were also explained in general terms, as well as defining the objectives of the project, the working methodology to be followed and the intellectual products were explained.

Finally, the partner agreements were signed, the distribution of tasks was made and the calendar of transnational meetings of the project was determined.
